Certified cancer cases tied to the toxic dust of Ground Zero have surged 1,680% since 2015. From 3,204 cases to 57,044 today.
A new cancer certification every 50 minutes. Two people dying roughly every day.
More than 9,425 people have now died from post-9/11 illnesses. That is more than triple the 2,977 murdered on the morning of the attacks.
Read those numbers again. The firefighters who ran up the stairs. The cops. The office workers. The kids who went to school near the towers. They are still dying. Right now, in 2026.
And here is what should make you angry.
While first responders bury each other, New York City just elected a mayor, Zohran Mamdani, a self-described democratic socialist who has spent his career telling you the system those people died defending is the problem.
The city that lost the most has moved on the fastest.
His base was the young. Three out of four voters under 30 went for Mamdani. Among young women, 82%. Among young men, 65%. Even young white voters broke 62% his way.
Allegedly college educated. Not life educated. There is a difference, and it matters.
They have a diploma and a reading list. They have never lived a day under socialism or communism. They have never traveled to see what those systems actually produce. They have never stood in a country where the label they are voting for left breadlines, secret police, and a body count in the tens of millions. Every single place it has been tried, it has failed. That is not an opinion. That is the historical record.
They vote for the word on the poster because no one ever showed them the wreckage behind it. That is not wisdom. That is naivety dressed up as idealism. And a generation that never tasted that Ground Zero dust voted like 9/11 was a chapter in a textbook. A meme. Fodder for a podcast.
It was not a chapter. It is a funeral that has not stopped for 25 years.
We owe those responders more than a moment of silence once a year. We owe them our memory. We owe them the seriousness of remembering exactly who did this and why.
