There you have it. The U.S. military just struck over 1,000 targets in Iran in 24 hours using Palantir and Claude AI through Project Maven.

Not in weeks. Not in months. 24 hours.

That is what COTS AI looks like when you actually deploy it. Real missions. Real targeting. Real results at a speed that no government-built GOTS system has ever come close to matching.

I spent years at the Pentagon fighting for exactly this. Commercial AI platforms move at the speed of relevance. They iterate in weeks, not years. They don't require 10-year acquisition timelines. They work.

And yet — we still have people in Washington arguing we need to build everything from scratch inside the government. That we can't trust commercial AI with sensitive missions. That the answer is another DoW-owned platform nobody will use.

Project Maven just proved them wrong. Again.

The side that masters AI-enabled targeting first wins. We are starting to understand that.

Worse, #incompetent Emil Michael is still burning bridges with AI companies and continues his nonsense with Anthropic.

My own platform runs AI-driven decision support across sensitive workloads. The technology is not the bottleneck. It never was.

The bottleneck is always leadership and talent.

COTS over GOTS. Every time. Without exception.
