There you have it. The era of AI cybersecurity has officially crossed the threshold.

Anthropic just announced Project Glasswing and their new "Mythos" model, and the details are absolutely staggering. This isn't just an incremental update — this is an AI model that is autonomously finding zero-day vulnerabilities in every major operating system and web browser on the planet.

Let that sink in.

We are talking about a model that found a 27-year-old vulnerability in OpenBSD (one of the most secure operating systems in the world) that human experts missed for decades. It found a 16-year-old vulnerability in FFmpeg that automated testing tools hit 5 MILLION times without ever catching. It even autonomously wrote an exploit that chained together four different vulnerabilities to escape both renderer and OS sandboxes.

This is a complete game changer. The cost, effort, and expertise required to find and exploit software vulnerabilities just dropped to near zero.

The defense implications are massive. That is exactly why Amazon, Apple, Cisco, CrowdStrike, Google, Microsoft, NVIDIA, Palo Alto Networks, and JPMorgan Chase just formed a coalition to use this model to secure the world's most critical infrastructure.

The threat landscape just shifted permanently. If we aren't using these frontier models to find and fix our vulnerabilities first, our adversaries certainly will. China and Russia are not going to wait for us to catch up.

Every CISO, every DoW program manager, every software company needs to wake up today. You cannot fight an AI-speed cyber war with human-speed patching.

We need to aggressively adopt these models to harden our defenses before it is too late. The private sector is already moving. The DoW must do the same and stop Emil Michael from doing more damage.
