There you have it! President Trump says he's going to build an "AI Force" and name an "AI czar." No details yet — but he compared it to the Space Force, and that got my attention.

The framing is right. Protect the industry without strangling it. Go after the bad actors through the courts we already have. Treat AI like the next Industrial Revolution. Beat China. I've been saying every one of those things for years.
Standing up a new force from nothing is hard. I watched the Space Force get built brick by brick. You don't hand that to a placeholder, and you don't hand it to someone whose loyalties I'd have to question on day one.
I hope to God Emil Michael is nowhere near this.
In my view he is the single biggest threat to our nation sitting inside our own government right now. China loves him. Let that be the tell. When you're picking the person who will shape how America builds, ships, and defends its AI, that seat cannot go to someone our adversaries would celebrate.
The czar isn't a title. It's the keys. Whoever holds it decides which models the government buys, which companies get frozen out, and how fast we move against Beijing. Get that pick right and the "AI Force" becomes the Space Force of this decade. Get it wrong and it's a press-release agency with a nice logo and China two laps ahead.
Trump said only "high IQ individuals need apply." Good. Then apply the standard where it actually matters — not the résumé, the record. Who has this person's decisions helped, and who have they helped more, us or them?
I want this to work. That's exactly why the name on that door matters more than the name of the agency.
