There you have it. Pentagon officials now believe the United States is lagging China in unmanned combat AI.

Read that again.

Lagging.
China.
In military AI.

Not in a lab.
Not in a benchmark.
Not in a glossy demo.

In systems that actually matter in war.

Autonomous drones.
Battlefield decision speed.
Operational deployment.

This is exactly what I have been warning about for years and they are finally admitting it.

The future of warfare is not just missiles, tanks, ships, and jets.

It is software.
It is data.
It is AI.

And if your enemy can sense faster, decide faster, and act faster than you can, you lose before the first shot is fired.

China understands this.

They are not treating AI like a side project.
They are not burying it in committees.
They are not turning it into a compliance theater exercise.

They are building operational advantage.

Meanwhile, in Washington, too many people still talk about AI like it is an innovation showcase instead of a national security imperative.

That is madness.

Software, data, and AI are now part of the weapon system itself.

If America is behind in that stack, then America is behind where it counts.

And yes, this is bigger than drones.

This is command and control.
Targeting.
Logistics.
Cyber.
Decision dominance.

The country that operationalizes AI first and fastest will shape the battlefield.

The others will be reacting to it.

Time to wake up!

Note for the clowns of LinkedIn: yes this is an AI generated image captain obvious.
