There you have it! I'm putting this out there for a friend and patriot. Jeremiah Castillo is retiring from the Air Force after 24 years.
To many in the Air Force, he's known as SMEEgle. He's currently the Military Deputy Director of Strategy at the 618th Air Operations Center, and he's held operational and strategic roles across global mobility operations: leading efforts for Agile Combat Employment and providing critical input on AFFORGEN and JADC2/ABMS. TS/SCI clearance, Master's from National Defense University, and a PhD candidate researching strategic communication for organizational change.
I've known Jeremiah for years. He built our first website for Ask Sage! But here's what caught my attention: during his SkillBridge transition, he built, from scratch, in three weeks, a full AI-powered business intelligence platform for a federal contractor. Not a chatbot demo. A real system: SAM.gov integration, a federal BD command center with pipeline analytics, an S3 document library with AI ingestion, email and calendar analysis, and a company-wide AI assistant. Built on AWS, designed to scale.
That combination, 24 years of military operations leadership plus the ability to actually build AI systems end to end, is rare. Most people have one or the other. He has both.
He's based in St. Louis, holds a Top Secret/SCI clearance, and is open to the right opportunity in defense tech, federal AI, or strategy leadership.

Sometimes the best thing you can do for someone is open a door. This is me opening! Grab him before others do!
